Dwight Howard Sends Serious Message To Shaquille O’Neal Amid Beef
Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Like all famous beefs in the NBA, the one between Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard has already lasted for a long time. But just recently, the latter reached out to the Los Angeles Lakers legend to settle all the animosity.

The beef between the two big men started out in 2008 when Howard claimed he was Superman during that year’s All-Star Slam Dunk Contest. It should be remembered that O’Neal first used that moniker and even went on to star as Steel, a character derived from Superman, in 1997.

Since then, O’Neal used his work as a host for Inside the NBA to constantly clown and criticize Howard over the years. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year, on the other hand, bounced around the league after his time playing for the Orlando Magic. Some of these teams include the Lakers, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, and Philadelphia 76ers, among others.

Ultimately, Howard became a champion as part of LeBron James’ Lakers team inside the Bubble in Orlando. After his second stint wearing the Purple and Gold, the All-Star big man went to Taiwan and is still waiting for a team to sign him back to a new deal again.

Dwight Howard Asks Shaquille O’Neal To End Their Beef

Just recently, Howard was interviewed by Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller. In particular, the former admitted he held no grudges against the former Orlando Magic star for busting his ear drum years ago. In turn, Howard shared the video on his X account and called O’Neal out to end their beef once and for all.

Just recently, O’Neal admitted the real reason why he constantly criticized Howard. In an interview with JJ Reddick, the four-time NBA champion got real and said he doesn’t have what it takes to get better after being called out for his mistakes.

It remains to be seen whether O’Neal will respond to Howard’s message. In any case, a lot of eyes will be on the two big men to determine if they can end their beef or allow it to go on.
